Winterfoor Geraardsbergen is a major winter funfair and carnival held in the city centre each February–March. The 2026 edition runs from 20 February to 4 March and features dozens of rides and attractions spread across the Market, Station Square, Vesten, and Sasweg. Highlights include the traditional Krakelingen & Tonnekensbrand carnival parade and bonfire, the Première Toog (Eerste Toog) yearly market with 150+ vendors, and a new sensory-friendly fairground experience. The event draws families and visitors across the region for carnival rides, games, food stalls, and community celebration.

Friday 20 February
- 52 attractions across 4 locations, including 11 major thrill rides (e.g. Energizer, Flying Jumbo premiering in 2026)
- Krakelingen & Tonnekensbrand carnival: Sunday 23 February—historic parade themed on local associations, followed by ceremonial bonfire lighting and fireworks at Oudenberg
- Erste Toog (Eerste Toog) yearly market: Monday 2 March, 08:30–16:30, with 150+ market stalls and vendors across city streets
- Sensory-friendly "prikkelarme foor" (Tuesday 24 February, 16:00–19:00): dimmed lights and lower music volume for visitors sensitive to noise/brightness
- Family discount days: Wednesdays 25 February and 4 March—reduced fares on most attractions
- Historic guided commentary with 12 commentator stations along the parade route and free programme booklets for first 750 visitors (plus Krakelingen pin)
