Wellderly Week
Wellderly Week is a special time set aside each year to celebrate and focus on the well-being of our senior community, and is dedicated to promoting health, happiness, and the importance of staying active and engaged, regardless of age. The celebration highlights the significant role that seniors play in our society...
Position your brand as an enabler of active, fulfilling aging by promoting wellness products, services, and experiences that keep seniors engaged and healthy.
- Share senior success stories: spotlight customers 65+ who've transformed their health/hobbies through your product
- Create a 'Wellderly Challenge': encourage seniors to try a new activity (fitness class, travel, hobby) and share their experience
- Partner with senior centers or retirement communities for in-person wellness events or product demonstrations
- Develop educational content on aging well: nutrition, mental health, staying socially connected—position your brand as a trusted resource
The concept of Wellderly Week was initiated in 2015 by a non-profit called Wellderly Life, founded by Sabrina Williams.
Williams saw a gap in societal recognition for the elderly and aimed to fill it by celebrating their lives and contributions. The inaugural Wellderly Week took place in October 2016 and has since been a time to reflect on positive aging.
Wellderly Week falls on the third Monday of March, marking a period dedicated to encouraging seniors to live life to the fullest.
This includes embracing their interests and hobbies and fostering mental and physical wellness. This initiative reflects a broader understanding of aging. It challenges traditional views and supports seniors in remaining active and involved in their communities and families.
Wellderly Week reminds us that age should not be a barrier to leading a vibrant and fulfilling life. It’s a call to action for people of all ages to support the well-being of the senior community and ensure they can enjoy a life marked by joy, dignity, and purpose.
