The Sabbat des Macralles, held on July 20, 2026, is one of the most authentic manifestations of Ardennes folklore . Every July 20 and lasting 24 hours, the "Neurès Bièsses" (the Macralles) symbolically take possession of the city keys and gather to hold their Sabbat in the presence of their master, the "NeûrBo" (the black goat), who is the Devil . This ceremony attracts more than 1,500 spectators each year . It is a sound and light show where the macralles recount in Walloon anecdotes from the past year to their Grand Master Belzebuth .
