Rosenmontag (Rose Monday) is the highlight of Eupen's Rhenish carnival in Belgium's German-speaking cantons. It takes place on the Monday preceding Shrove Tuesday, culminating in a Rose Monday procession with five days of pre-Lenten revelry. Roughly 60 floats and over 3,000 costumed participants parade through the German-speaking city.
