The 110th men's edition and 10th women's race of the Ronde van Vlaanderen features a thrilling battle from the sport's top stars and a party atmosphere from cycling-crazed Belgian fans. Defined by its steep cobbled climbs, the race is largely played out in the Vlaamse Ardennen (Flemish Ardennes), and has developed a reputation as a favourite for both spectators and riders alike, such is the atmosphere that accompanies the race as it winds through crowded country lanes and rowdy beer tents. The Tour of Flanders is one of cycling's 5 Monuments and is of huge importance to Belgian riders, teams, sponsors and the massive crowds of Flemish cycling fanatics that line the route each year.

- The 2026 route covers 278.2 km from Antwerp to Oudenaarde with a clear split between a flat opening and a brutal second half.
- The course features 2,250 metres of climbing with 16 cobbled climbs and seven flat cobbled sections.
- The race comes down to the last 55 kilometres with the cobbled Kwaremont–Paterberg combo as the final obstacles before a 13-kilometre flat run-in.
- Major contenders include Tadej Pogačar, Lotte Kopecky, Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel.
- The day before the professional race, a sportive allows the public to share the experience of riding the famous cobbles of Flanders.
- The fan zone in Oudenaarde is located at the finish line on Minderbroedersstraat, close to the Markt, and is open from 13:00 to 19:00.
