History

Pol’and’Rock Festival was created in 1995 by Jerzy Owsiak as the Woodstock Festival Poland. He wanted to express gratitude to the volunteers of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, a significant charity event he had initiated.

The first festival, which took place in Czymanowo, was relatively small, but its message of peace and love quickly resonated, drawing larger crowds each year.

The festival has moved several times, with notable locations including Żary and Kostrzyn nad Odrą. Despite these changes, the festival’s core values remained the same: promoting peace, music, and unity.

It became a space where people from all over could come together, enjoy diverse music acts, and participate in workshops and discussions on social issues.

The festival is free, ensuring that it remains accessible to everyone, further embodying its ideals of inclusivity and community.

Over the years, Pol’and’Rock has grown into one of Europe’s largest non-commercial music festivals, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees annually.

How to celebrate

Gear Up in Festive Style

Bring out those old band tees, paint your face with bright colors, or even sport some glitter. After all, there’s no such thing as too much sparkle at Pol’and’Rock.

Create a Mini Festival at Home

Can’t make it to the festival grounds? No problem! Set up a mini festival in your backyard or living room. String up some fairy lights, set up a tent, and blast your favorite bands from the festival lineup. Invite friends over, grab some snacks, and enjoy the festival vibes right from home. Don’t forget to dance like nobody’s watching!
