The Opdorp Jaarmarkt takes place on Monday, 6 July 2026, traditionally on the first Monday of July in the middle of the Opdorp Kermis festival week on the Dries with activities for all ages. This is a tradition connecting generations, enlivening the village heart, and annually bringing thousands of visitors from Buggenhout and the wider region. Animal competitions featuring cattle, horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats displayed in rings judged by expert juries, with hobby animals exhibition, vintage farm tractors, Horseball demos, and Voltige riding club performances Live performances including Longarius Waltus, Laura Lynn, Sergio, Sam Gooris, Johnny's Little Drumsticks, Belle Perez, and DJ Joost Giant BBQ running 11:00–15:00 at the festival tent Multiple themed events throughout the 10-day period: beach party, Driespop, summer festival, cycling competitions, sports day with guided bike tours and card tournaments Village fair with flea market, aperitif concert, pétanque tournament Free entry for the jaarmarkt; free for all ages
