Nuts Weekend takes place December 11–13, 2026, inviting visitors to travel back to 1944 at the heart of the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne. The 2026 edition offers a deep immersion into the reality of soldiers and civilians through the Bastogne War Museum's multisensory experience following four real characters through the battle. Well attended but not overly crowded, the weekend features reenactors, military vehicles, and commemorative ceremonies.

  • Living history reenactments at Bastogne Barracks with military camps and a Bastogne March offering three distances (8, 12, and 20 km)
  • Historical reenactments on Saturday and Sunday near Bois Jacques featuring hundreds of enthusiasts in period uniforms and armored vehicles
  • American and German military camps, veteran meet-and-greets, Enigma coding workshops, conferences, book fairs, civilian life workshops, concerts, and battlefield tours
  • Mardasson Memorial visit with its star-shaped monument honoring Belgian-American friendship and panoramic views of former battlefields
  • Bastogne War Rooms visit to the underground headquarters where General McAuliffe replied "Nuts!" to German surrender demands
