The Jaarmarktkermis in Niel forms the beating heart of a multi-day folk festival each autumn, deeply rooted in the tradition of the Rupelstreek. The town centre transforms into a bustling hub of fairground rides, markets, animations and gatherings, with families coming together for days of celebration. The fairground is the largest in the region, typically featuring 65–80 attractions along Emile Vanderveldelaan and Heideplaats, with a diverse offer for thrill-seekers, families and children, plus game stalls and vendors, making it a fully-fledged urban fairground.
