- {"tip":"DO: Target broader adventure audiences beyond just 'off-road.' Hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, mountain biking enthusiasts are high-intent buyers. INEOS successfully targeted these overlapping communities.","example":"INEOS segmented audiences by hiking/camping/fishing interests, not just automotive. This expanded reach and improved CTR significantly on Meta/TikTok/YouTube."}
- {"tip":"DON'T: Underestimate influencer product seeding as the primary driver. Influencer marketing + UGC massively outperforms traditional PPC in this space. Off-roaders trust peer reviews over ads.","example":"Brands like Dometic, ARB USA, C4 Fabrication, YotaMafia attribute success to influencer collaborations over paid search."}
- {"tip":"DO: Weave in environmental/community responsibility messaging. The off-road community cares about trail access, responsible riding, and conservation. International Off-road Day kicked off in 2021. Can-Am Off-Road, a brand under Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), launched the event. Their goal was simple: bring together people who love off-road adventures.
The company wanted a day where riders everywhere could feel part of the same global community. That first year, fans from all over joined in. Many hit trails, shared photos, and celebrated their passion for wild rides.
This wasn’t just a company campaign. It sparked real excitement across the off-road world. Riders in different countries took part.
From dusty deserts to muddy backroads, people marked the day their own way. The celebration grew fast. Soon, clubs, groups, and casual fans began planning meetups. It became more than a ride—it became a shared moment.
Can-Am didn’t just push for thrills. They also encouraged safe riding and care for the environment. Respect for the land and fellow riders became part of the message.
That made the day feel bigger than just sport. It helped connect fun with responsibility.
Since then, International Off-road Day has kept building momentum. Each year, more join in. What started with one brand’s idea now inspires off-roaders across the globe to hit the trail and feel the rush—together.
Hit the Trail
Find a rugged path and take your vehicle for a spin. Pick a spot with stunning views and fresh air. Dirt bikes, ATVs, or side-by-sides all work. Choose a route that fits your skill level. Make sure your ride is ready for the terrain. Bring a buddy or two for safety and good company. Keep an eye on weather conditions before setting out.
Join a Group Ride
Look for a local meet-up or organized event near you. Plenty of communities plan off-road gatherings on this day. These rides often include guided routes and scenic stops. You’ll meet friendly people who love the same hobby. Swap stories, tips, and maybe snacks. Some events offer beginner routes as well. Don’t forget to register if spots are limited.
Clean Up a Trail
Lend a hand and give back to nature. Gather a group and help remove trash from popular off-road areas. Gloves, bags, and a little time can go far. Landowners and local groups will appreciate the help. Keep trails open and safe for everyone. Clean-ups also help protect wildlife and natural beauty. It’s a rewarding way to mark the day.
Try Something New
Step out of your comfort zone. If you usually ride trails, tackle a rocky climb. Sand dunes more your style? Explore forest paths instead. Challenge your skills without pushing too far. Maybe rent a different type of vehicle. Learning a new technique can make the day even more exciting. Keep things fresh and surprising.
Share the Fun
Post photos or videos from your adventure. Use tags or hashtags to connect with the larger off-road world. Tell others about your favorite spots. Stories and snapshots help inspire new explorers. You might even spark someone’s first ride. Just make sure to keep it real and respectful. Leave only tire tracks, not trouble.
