Programme
The 75th edition of the Garnaalfeesten takes place on 27–28 June 2026 in Oostduinkerke-Bad, celebrating a jubilee tradition of shrimp fishing on horseback . This beloved folk festival brings together tradition, folklore, music, local crafts and community across a unique weekend . Oostduinkerke is the only place worldwide where horse-drawn shrimp fishing still exists, and since 2013 the practice is UNESCO-listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity .
