The Fêtes de Wallonie constitute Namur's most important patriotic and popular festival, celebrating Walloon identity and spirit. During eleven days, the historic capital of Wallonia transforms into an immense theatre of folklore, heritage and modern festivities, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. The programme is renowned for its diversity, offering a unique blend of historical commemorations, traditional stilt-walking competitions and more than 150 concerts of varied musical genres.
