The 38th Medieval Festival of Bouillon brings together knights, artisans, fire breathers, troubadours, falconers and minstrels for two days , taking place August 8–9, 2026 . An internationally renowned event, acclaimed by thousands of people every year , the festival transforms the town and château into a medieval immersion. Dozens of artisans sell medieval products—hypocras, mead, leather goods, jewellery and costumes—across four sites: the castle esplanade, the Sépulcrines esplanade, the Quai des Remparts, and near the Pont de la Poulie . Medieval groups animate the streets from 2pm both days; inside the castle, medieval troupes perform combat demonstrations and falconry shows with musical animations Around twenty historical reconstruction camps depicting 10 centuries of history with nobles, knights, artisans and peasants Children's activities include a school for young pages, pony rides, storytelling, magic and puppet shows Town animations, medieval camps and markets are free; the "Medieval Pass" (€20 adult/senior, €15 child/student) grants access to exclusive castle shows, the "L'Odyssée de Lumière" night spectacle, mini-concerts at La Poulie, the Ducal Museum and the new "Bouillon Medieval Experience" virtual reality immersion into the Crusades and 11th-century knights Equestrian tournaments, medieval camp visits, street performances and processions with falconry animations throughout the castle
