The Sanctuary of Beauraing invites pilgrims each August 15–23 to celebrate the Feast of Mary Queen (Fête de Marie Reine) , commemorating the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to five children in 1932–1933. The Minor Basilica can accommodate over 2,000 people , and attendance grows each year . The sanctuary integrates spiritual renewal days and liturgical celebrations culminating on August 22, the feast day itself.
