Programme

The 11th Edition of Pays de Danses Festival returns this winter (January 23–February 14, 2026) as a herald of contemporary dance, rooted in bodies, memories, and geographies. This edition centers around the theme "Heritage and Territories," inviting a sensitive journey into roots, belonging, and cultural blending. The festival proposes more than twenty different dance shows , deployed across a dozen cities in the Liège Province region and beyond. Opening with Notte Morricone by Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau—a major figure on the European scene—which interweaves music and movement around Ennio Morricone's universe, offering an immersive and emotional experience. Closing with Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (KNCDC), returning to Liège after ten years, presenting Jungle and Everything Falls Dramatic—a double programme promising to be a major highlight. International contemporary dance in diverse thematic expressions, thanks to artists and companies from Italy, France, Thailand, Tunisia, and beyond. Opéra Punk—4 performers incarnating musicians, dancers, dogs, lovers, and ocean waves, transforming as if crossing theatre curtains onto stage. Film screenings, Walloon dance workshops, and street dance battles alongside the main theatrical programme. Festival centered on diffusing Belgian and international spectacles and creations, dedicated to all audiences.
