The 4th edition of the Fête des Simples & Cie will take place on May 24, 2026, in the village of Jandrain (Orp-Jauche, in eastern Walloon Brabant). The event aims to showcase medicinal plants and their uses, local artisanal craftsmanship linked to plants and sustainable practices, creating intergenerational connections, and celebrating nature in a convivial atmosphere with dancing, singing, and laughter. The event is free and accessible to all to promote the benefits of medicinal plants and create local community bonds.
Morning – Early afternoon
Artisanal market opens with 130+ exhibitors (plants, herbs, local produce, crafts). Saint-Pierre Church activities begin with musical and plant-based meditations.
Throughout the day
Conferences on mushrooms (medicinal properties, mycorhizes, culture at home); workshops on pleurote cultivation, bread-making ('Du bon grain au bon pain'), beekeeping; nature-guided walks; animations for children; garden-to-table talks.
Evening
Local brewery (Féculerie de Jandrain) open for tastings; Grande Droguerie Poétique performances; folk bal with traditional dance initiations (free, open to all).
