The Doudou (Ducasse Rituelle de Mons) runs from 27 May to 2 June 2026, with an additional event on 7 June . This UNESCO-recognized masterpiece of intangible heritage features over 1,600 costumed participants and attracts tens of thousands of spectators annually . The ritual combines the sacred descent and procession of Saint Waudru's shrine, the iconic Procession of the Car d'Or, and the dramatic Lumeçon battle between Saint George and a dragon .
