Tienen celebrates a week of carnival and fair fun, with the Carnavalkermis taking over the Grote Markt from Saturday 14 through Sunday 22 February 2026 with numerous attractions, kicked off by the main Carnavalstoet parade on Saturday 14 February . The carnival parade takes place on Valentine's Day with festivities continuing at the fair on Grote Markt and ending romantically in a Tienen restaurant .
