The Carnavalstoet Maaseik takes place on Sunday, 15 March 2026. For more than 125 years, the International Halfvastenstoet marches through Maaseik with dozens of floats, groups, brass bands and solo performers from home and abroad. It is the oldest official modern carnival parade in Flanders, dating back to 1865. Tens of thousands of spectators traditionally line the route to admire the parade participants.
