Carnaval Ninove runs 21–24 February 2026 under the theme "Z'es va Sesteg." The weekend launches with a children's carnival on Saturday 21 February, followed by the main "Roze Zondagstrein" parade on Sunday 22 February, a Monday evening parade with a traditional "Gouden Wortelworp" (golden carrot-throwing) and street carnival, and closes Tuesday 24 February with the "wortelverbranding" (carrot-burning). It is described as "the largest and finest multi-day festival of the year" for Ninove residents.

Children's Carnival: registration 12:00–13:30 (CC De Plomblom, Graanmarkt 12), free for ages 4–12; parade departs 13:45 from Oudstrijdersplein to sports hall with show and prize ceremony

Free coffee pastries 10:30–11:30 at Old Town Hall; power handover ceremony at 12:00; 'wortelverbranding' (carrot-burning ceremony) at 15:11 at Dr. Hemerijckxplein closes carnaval officially
