The Carnaval de Spy is a key figure of local folklore that brings the community together and unites generations around a living tradition. On Saturday 14 February, a parade of the Carnaval de Spy takes place with numerous folk groups animating the village streets from 1 pm. The Grand Feu (Grand Fire) of Spy closes the carnival each year, with masked groups parading the streets the day before to present a terrifying beast which is then burned at the bonfire.
