The "Feureu" is the carnaval of Morlanwelz, which traditionally begins on the Sunday following Shrove Tuesday. The Carnaval de Morlanwelz is a pillar of Walloon folklore, featuring traditional costumes and lively musical animations. The city celebrates for two days , with the climax on Monday evening on place Albert 1er, where groups form an enormous rondeau around a bonfire and a spectacular fireworks display illuminates the night.
