Created in 1986 with its first carnival in 1987, the Carnaval d'Ecaussinnes celebrates the end of winter and the arrival of spring . The carnival enables communities to gather, share moments of joy and conviviality . It embodies Walloon carnival tradition with animations organised in the commune and a deeply local spirit . Six carnival societies participate: Les Cayoteux, Les Marchous, Les Scaussinoûs, Les Nwars Chabots, Les Bons Vivants and Les Bias Sarraus .
