Brussels Airport Marathon is an annual race and one of the major sports events in Belgium . However, the City of Brussels announced in November 2025 the withdrawal of the marathon from its territory starting 2026 , requiring the organizer (Golazo) to redesign a new route avoiding the city center . As of 2025, total event participation reached around 20,000 across the marathon, half marathon and 7 km .
