Tips4
- DON'T pinkwash: Community insists Pride is 'not just a colorful backdrop for marketing.' Back up rainbow logos with year-round donations, policies, and action—or face community backlash & activist scrutiny.
- DON'T center the party: 2026 theme is 'When Times Get Darker, We Shine Brighter'—acknowledge rising anti-gender violence, trans healthcare attacks, and precarity. Balance celebration with solidarity messaging.
- DO partner with RainbowHouse Brussels & community orgs, not just the city tourism body. They now drive the event; they vet partnerships. Authenticity & accountability matter to this audience.
- DO engage during Pride Week (May 10-16), not just the parade day (May 16). 70+ events, debates, performances, workshops. Sponsor an activation beyond floats to build trust and reach activists, not just party-goers.
