The 94th edition of the Batjes of Roeselare runs from Friday 26 to Monday 29 June, with the city centre bustling for four days with atmosphere, music, animation and entertainment. With approximately 125,000 visitors annually, the Batjes has become Flanders' largest city event. The event features a colourful mix of street animation, performances, a market fair and surprises at every corner.
Friday 26 June
Opening with the iconic Rodenbach barrel on the Grand Square from 19:00, where visitors can purchase beer and alternatives
Saturday 27 June
Most versatile day featuring child entertainment, streetfood, dance performances and evening shows. From family outings along market stalls to music performances on every street. Afternoon programme includes family-focused entertainment with castle jump area (14:00–18:00) on the Grand Square. Pro Wrestling Allstars PWA Wildcard wrestling entertainment on the Grand Square.
Sunday 28 June
Musical brunch, creative child entertainment, food & market stalls, performances full of atmosphere and swinging evening programme. Sunday is the Batjes day for families, music lovers and life enjoyment. Pro Wrestling Allstars PWA Wildcard continues on the Grand Square.
Monday 29 June
Hundreds of activities continue with performances, children's entertainment, street animation and regional products throughout the downtown.
- The iconic Rodenbach beer barrel kicks off Friday from 19:00, filled with 3,400 litres where visitors can buy half-litre mugs.
- The market fair runs Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June and is one of Flanders' most successful fairs.
- Live music ranges from Flemish classics to DJ beats, with performances on the Grand Square, at the Station and around the city.
- Saturday afternoon features family entertainment including a castle jump area on the Grand Square where children can play, jump and run around.
- Street animation includes street theatre, stilt walkers and living statues throughout the entire downtown.
- Professional wrestling entertainment (PWA Wildcard) appears Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 on the Grand Square with free entry.
