Programme

The Allianz Memorial Van Damme is an athletics meeting of the highest level which is part of the Wanda Diamond League, named after Belgian athlete Ivo Van Damme who died tragically in 1976. In 2026, Memorial Van Damme will serve as the sole final of the Diamond League , making it a 50th anniversary edition of extraordinary significance. All 32 Diamond League champions will be crowned, with a total prize money pool of 2.24 million USD, and series champions get automatic qualification for the World Athletics Ultimate Championships. Mondo Duplantis, pole vault world record holder and Olympic/world champion, will compete Carl Lewis (nine-time Olympic champion) inducted into Hall of Fame as guest of honour for 50th anniversary Mike Boit and Dwight Stones (winners from the first Memorial in 1977) inducted into Hall of Fame All 32 disciplines featured with only the very best athletes, a 'pocket version of the World Cup' VIP experience includes premium seats, refined gastronomy, dazzling closing ceremony with laser show Extra-sporting surprises planned to add extra flavour to this anniversary edition
