The Allianz Memorial Van Damme is an athletics meeting of the highest level which is part of the Wanda Diamond League, named after Belgian athlete Ivo Van Damme who died tragically in 1976. In 2026, Memorial Van Damme will serve as the sole final of the Diamond League , making it a 50th anniversary edition of extraordinary significance. All 32 Diamond League champions will be crowned, with a total prize money pool of 2.24 million USD, and series champions get automatic qualification for the World Athletics Ultimate Championships.
