All or nothing is a phrase that is said to be very similar to a Latin phrase, either Caesar or nothing, which has the same meaning. It is a day that is designed to help to encourage people to put their all into something. After all, some people are natural risk-takers. They are ‘All or Nothing’ in their approach to daily life. Yet, for most of us, we are more cautious, and we need a bit of a push to go and get what we really want. National All or Nothing Day is here to give you that push and to encourage you to go for what you really want in life, and to go for it fully. No half-hearted approach here!
What would you want to do if today was your last?
Another great way to spend National All or Nothing Day is to truly think about it like it is your last day on earth. If you only had 24 hours left, how would you spend them? Make a list of all of the different things that you would like to do. This could be anything from visiting your family, perhaps going to a place you have always wanted to. Or maybe trying out an activity you have always wanted to. It does not matter how short or long this list is. Just write down whatever feels right for you. You can then spend the day going through the list and ticking off as much as possible. If you aren’t able to do everything on the list, you can save it for the next National All or Nothing Day. Or, you can go with the spirit of the date, and simply do all of the activities as soon as you possibly can. Why wait around for next year?
Make a plan to achieve your goals
Of course, you don’t have to go out and do something crazy on National All or Nothing Day. You can simply use this day to make some big decisions regarding your life goals. A lot of people have questions that plague their mind all of the time. For example, there are a lot of people that don’t feel fully satisfied in their current position at work. They have dreams of doing something different and chasing a different career, yet they may not feel confident enough to do this. If this applies to you, you could sit down and make a plan for how you are going to go and achieve your objectives. You will really feel like you have achieved something after this. After all, the first step is often the hardest!
Watch inspirational films and TV series
Another way to celebrate National All or Nothing Day is to watch some films or TV programs that are based on this motto. In fact, there is even a British drama film called All or Nothing. It was directed by Mike Leigh and released in 2002. The film has received rave reviews, and it has even won a number of words, including the Best British Film of the Year at the London Film Critics Circle Award. It follows three working-class families and their everyday lives. Of course, there are also a lot of sports shows and films that are called All or Nothing. If you are a sports fan, you will definitely appreciate these sorts of shows. They take a look at how athletes put everything on the line. For example, there is a TV Series called All or Nothing on Amazon Prime, which follows different sports teams. Each year, an NFL team is at the center of the TV series, with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 and the Carolina Panthers in 2019. However, it is not just about NFL, as there have been other teams that have been at the center of these shows over the years too. Including the Brazilian national football team, as well as the New Zealand All Blacks, which is a rugby team. For sports fans, you can enjoy binging on these series, which are not only incredibly entertaining, but they show you how these teams went all-in to achieve their goals. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but that’s the way life is and that’s the important message about this day!
